Ghana Petroleum Funds received $454 million from the state in 2024; AUM hits $1.4bn

Despite a downturn in oil output in late 2024, Ghana’s oil-based sovereign funds received substantial inflows over the year. According to the Bank of Ghana’s Petroleum Funds report, about US$454 million was allocated to the SWFs in 2024. The GPF (collectively the Ghana Stabilization Fund and the Ghana Heritage Fund) is valued at 1.4 billion as of end 2024. Earlier in June 2024 the GPF was admitted as a full member of the IFSWF
